Tallboys and lowboys
Tallboys use more vertical space, making them useful when you have a narrower section of wall to work with. They’re available in different heights and drawer configurations for storing folded clothes, linen and smaller everyday items.
If you have more wall space available, a lowboy dresser gives you the same drawer storage and gives you a surface on top for a lamp or mirror. You can also browse our dressing tables if you’re looking for storage with a dedicated space to get ready.
Choosing how many drawers you need
Our tallboys range from three to nine drawers, so think about what you’ll be storing before choosing a size. Deeper drawers give you more room for bulkier clothing and linen, while a larger number of drawers can make it easier to separate smaller items. Check the dimensions and drawer configuration on the individual product listing before you buy.
Matching your tallboy to the rest of the room
You’ll find tallboys in a mix of neutral colours and timber-look finishes. White works easily with a wide range of bedroom styles, while black and darker finishes can add contrast. Pine, oak, walnut and rust oak are easy to pair with other timber-look furniture.
If you already have a bed frame or bedside tables, look for a finish that works with those pieces. It doesn’t need to be an exact match to feel at home in the room.
Adding more bedroom storage
A tallboy gives you plenty of drawer space, but you can combine it with other storage depending on what you need. A wardrobe gives you room for hanging clothes, while bedside tables keep smaller items within easy reach of the bed.

Tallboy safety and stability
Tallboys should be secured to the wall using the supplied anchoring hardware where required. This is especially important in homes with young children, as opening drawers can make tall furniture less stable.
Follow the assembly and anchoring instructions supplied with your tallboy, and avoid placing heavy items in the upper drawers. Check the individual product listing for assembly information before ordering.
