Short on storage space? Our tallboy range includes compact three-drawer units through to larger nine-drawer designs, with plenty of room for clothes, linen and everyday bedroom essentials. Choose from white, black, pine, oak, walnut and rust oak finishes, with different sizes to work across smaller and larger bedrooms.

Buying direct helps keep our prices lower than many traditional retailers. Tallboys are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days and come with a 12-month warranty.

Tallboys and lowboys

Tallboys use more vertical space, making them useful when you have a narrower section of wall to work with. They’re available in different heights and drawer configurations for storing folded clothes, linen and smaller everyday items.

If you have more wall space available, a lowboy dresser gives you the same drawer storage and gives you a surface on top for a lamp or mirror.  You can also browse our dressing tables if you’re looking for storage with a dedicated space to get ready.

Choosing how many drawers you need

Our tallboys range from three to nine drawers, so think about what you’ll be storing before choosing a size. Deeper drawers give you more room for bulkier clothing and linen, while a larger number of drawers can make it easier to separate smaller items. Check the dimensions and drawer configuration on the individual product listing before you buy.

Matching your tallboy to the rest of the room

You’ll find tallboys in a mix of neutral colours and timber-look finishes. White works easily with a wide range of bedroom styles, while black and darker finishes can add contrast. Pine, oak, walnut and rust oak are easy to pair with other timber-look furniture.

If you already have a bed frame or bedside tables, look for a finish that works with those pieces. It doesn’t need to be an exact match to feel at home in the room.

Adding more bedroom storage

A tallboy gives you plenty of drawer space, but you can combine it with other storage depending on what you need. A wardrobe gives you room for hanging clothes, while bedside tables keep smaller items within easy reach of the bed.

Need somewhere for bulky bedding or suitcases? Our bed frames with storage give you extra room underneath the mattress without adding another piece of furniture to the bedroom.

Tallboy safety and stability

Tallboys should be secured to the wall using the supplied anchoring hardware where required. This is especially important in homes with young children, as opening drawers can make tall furniture less stable.

Follow the assembly and anchoring instructions supplied with your tallboy, and avoid placing heavy items in the upper drawers. Check the individual product listing for assembly information before ordering.

Tallboy FAQ

How many drawers do I need?

It depends on what you want to store. Deeper drawers can be useful for bulky clothing and linen, while having more drawers makes it easier to separate smaller items.

What should I measure before buying a tallboy?

Check the width, depth and height of the space where your tallboy will go. Leave enough room in front to open the drawers comfortably and check the product dimensions before ordering.

Tallboy or lowboy: which suits a small bedroom?

A tallboy is taller and narrower, using vertical space for storage. A lowboy is wider and lower, giving you drawer storage along with more surface space on top.

Which finishes are easiest to live with?

White keeps a small room feeling open and hides dust best. Black and dark grey hide marks but show dust more. Timber finishes like pine, oak and walnut are the most forgiving of knocks and pair naturally with a timber bed frame.

Do tallboys arrive flat packed, and are they stable?

Yes, flat packed with tools and instructions included, and best assembled in the room it will live in. Use the included wall anchor strap, especially with young children in the house, and load the heaviest items into the bottom drawers.
